My name is Rebekah Lucy. Rebekah is the Hebrew spelling I believe. It’s a Biblical name. Biblical I am not, but you get that.
I'm a(nother) Kiwi Kid (and on the eve of 30, I do use that term loosely) living the dream in London Town thanks to my handy Ancestry Visa (no recourse to public funds) (there go my plans to live out my days on a council estate with a brood of multi-coloured kids and an Alize habit). I've been here just shy of 22 months now, which seems impossible, so in part I'm resuming this blogging lark because I'm scared My Other Side Of The World Experience will pass me by in the proverbial blink of an eye (and I drink far too much wine to rely wholly on my memory banks to recall it in the future). In part I'm doing it beacuse my nagging Inner Self keeps poking me in the ribs and reminding me that I have always loved to write (read: rant and ramble). And in part I'm doing it because I've been a little bit inspired by my near-and-dear Erica who makes it look so easy (pah!) and fun to keep a journal of the ins and outs of a wonderful life in London Town.
I tend to the sarcastic end of the human spectrum but I don't think I'm a negative soul which is why I slapped the Rebekah Lucy Loves label on this. I want blogging to be a positive experience for me (and for anyone who can be bothered to read it) - a track record of all the cool things I do and see and experience (and eat). So, I'm giving it a whirl but I make no promises as to how long I can keep it up (this time).
All aboard then. See you soon.
